JOB TITLE: Dishwasher 
 
JOB DESCRIPTION: 
 
 
JOB FOCUS: 
 
Focus is on, but not limited to the following: 
 
  • Puts away daily deliveries, performs proper rotation of all food and beverage products upon receipt – first in/first out
  • Properly handles and stores all chemicals received
  • Cleans and maintains storage and delivery areas; ensures all kitchen and dining room equipment is clean, sanitary, and in good repair
  • Returns dirty dishes, silverware, glassware, and linen to dishwashing area, washing and sorting appropriately and places them I the prescribed area for proper disposition
  • Breaks down boxes an disposes of them properly.
  • Assists with maintenance of back-of-house storage and stock rooms as required by management
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure environment
  • Working knowledge of health, safety and sanitation procedures
  • Takes part in pre-service duties and applicable closing duties
  • Working knowledge of kitchen equipment required
  • Working knowledge of methods, accepted practices, considerations and regulatory requirements associated with the safety and protection of workers, environment, and site.
  • Excellent organizational skills to function effectively under time constraints and within established deadlines, with particular attention to detail
  • Professional appearance an demeanor
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with others
  • Demonstrated ability to accept guidance and supervision
  • Ensures high standard of sanitation and safety conditions, and prepares kitchen and dining room to meet Department of Health regulations
  • Maintains all equipment to be sure all equipment is safe, clean, and in good repair
  • Acts proactively to prevent accidents/injuries and communicates hazards to supervisors when identified
  • Is aware of, and adheres to established El Dorado Cantina’s policies and procedures
  • Ability to multitask while maintaining quality standards of the restaurant

 

 

 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

·         2 years’ experience in high volume restaurant
 
·         High School Diploma or equivalent work experience required

·         Proof of eligibility to work in the United States

·         Possesses and maintains all required work cards

·         Valid Driver’s License

·         Maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance adhering to established appearance standards

·         Positive, can-do attitude, ability to work full time and eagerness to gain experience and learn
 
·         Supreme attention to detail, highly organized and efficient
 
·         Resourcefulness and a strong work ethic a must
 
·         Individual must demonstrate integrity and professionalism
 
 

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

 

·         The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Must possess the ability to access all areas of the restaurant, the ability to move frequently & freely about facility, withstand prolonged standing, stretching, bending, kneeling, lifting and carrying items weighing up to 50 lbs. without restriction, work in close quarters or small rooms and is occasionally exposed to hot, cold, wet and/or humid condition and work environmental factors include noise, dust, and smoke.
